The weight of moral responsibility

Sometimes we feel weighed down by those who we are trying to protect. Sometimes, it is hard to discern the difference between protecting and enabling. In the end we tend to feel frayed and used by the ones we have tried so hard to help.

Remember:
      We all are only human
We are rarely on the same page with those we are trying to help
Everyone involved has an agenda that the others cannot see

This is how life works and if we think differently, we are destined to get hurt in some fashion.
At those times, it is good to remember, that our own motivations were created with the best possible integrity.

The lesson here is not to stop helping others. It is to find a balance between personal self-care and boundaries while meeting our moral obligations to help those in need, It is sometimes a very hard road to walk. It is usually filled with pain, lack of sleep. and sometimes damage to our own being or property.  This comes with the territory, and as someone who is bound by a personal obligation to help others, we tend to shrug off the events and carry on.

Remember where your boundaries end.
Remember where your obligations end.

At the end of the day, kick your shoes off, kick back in your favorite chair and KNOW that you have done your very best.

The greatest philosopher in the world said:
             Do absolutely nothing
             And leave nothing undone!

Be at Peace and know that you are loved and prayed for every day!
always,

'cept
