When disasters strike

Sometimes, we get hung up on the disasters that happen in our lives or around us. It is very difficult at times like these to find the successes that come out of these disasters. A young Wright whale breached and came down on this boat. The injuries will heal but the memories will remain forever. Our only real failure, at times like these, is in not remembering to respect the space others. As humans, we tend to believe that others should give way for us. The superiority that we push onto others is seriously misplaced and completely counter to the path that we should be walking. The sadness is that we are usually blind to it and fail miserably to comprehend the coincidences. Walking away from any disaster unscathed is nature's way of telling us that we were successful in the encounter and hopefully, we will learn the lessons offered to us from the situation.

The success is that this boat made it back to safe harbor. The three sailors aboard lived to tell the tale. The sail/vessel Intrepid was repaired and is back in the water, doing what she does best; cutting the waves and sending spray over thrilled sailors. The young whale left bruised and possibly bewildered, hopefully wiser from the experience.

The lesson is this:  How we see the :"whole picture", will always dictate the positivity or negativity of our memories and future encounters. We can focus on the disasters or focus on the successes. Whichever one will lead us into the future and define the rest of our life.

Remember to focus on the positives in your life and walk the path that truly suits your soul.

Be at Peace!
