Prayer

What is prayer?
Prayer is the communication between ourselves and our higher power. Some call this higher power God and some use other names.
So many people believe that they understand how to pray and they believe that they can pray away flaws and behavior in other people.  This is not how one should pray. That kind of prayer is based on the judgment of the person praying. Judgment is God’s arena, not ours.
Prayers are for drawing the attention of and moving the vibration of the higher power that is God. Prayer is to be used when we have dissonance within ourselves and need to find balance with what is giving us dissonance.  Dissonance is when something around us or within us is in direct conflict with our beliefs.
It is easy to fall into anger and hatred for those who do not look, act or agree with us. This springs from the beginning of our evolution as humans. These emotions are very strong and are enforced through beliefs that are embedded in us from childhood. They will inevitably take us into chaos and darkness. This is not where we need to go.  We, as humans, see the situations that evoke these emotions as a threat to ourselves, our ideology and our way of life.  Yet, many truly do not know what their ideology or way of life consist of. We tend to have a small inkling but nothing more. Everything else is something that was impressed upon us through others.
Praying gives us balance and instills calm. Prayer is about us, not them. When I ask you to pray, it is to help you find balance in life through the movement of the power of the higher self. Through the God in all of us.
We should never pray for other people. We have absolutely no way of knowing what God has in store for them. We have no way of knowing what their lesson in life is about. That is God’s work and we really should stay out of it. We can pray for them to be surrounded with love and light as, any time love and light is sent into the universe, it dispels chaos and darkness.
So… all that being said.  Here is a new prayer for those who wish it.

For those who _____________________ (fill in the blank), I surround you with love and light.
Example: For those who hate, I surround you with love and light.
Use this to dispel the chaos and darkness that is befalling our country. Use this to protect yourself, your family and your friends.
We cannot fight the darkness with darkness!
